Behind Posy is a very real (and slightly chaotic) family.

Hi, I’m Shawn — founder of Posy, mom to Maddox and Lennon, and an identical twin who has spent most of my life experiencing the magic (and strategy) of opening gifts at exactly the same time as someone else.

Maybe that’s where my love of gifting began.

One of the things I love most about giving a gift is watching people’s reactions when they open it.

Some people show their excitement immediately. That’s Lennon — pure joy all over her face the second the lid comes off.

Maddox gets excited too, but his first instinct is to make sure the person who gave the gift knows how thankful he is.

And then there’s Lance. His reaction is usually a completely straight face at first — like he’s still trying to confirm whether the gift is actually meant for him.

And of course there’s Doug, our French bulldog, whose enthusiasm for life mostly revolves around zooming through the house and eating absolutely anything he can find.

But no matter the reaction, there’s always a moment — that small pause when someone realizes the gift was chosen just for them.

That moment is the magic of gifting — and it’s why Posy exists.
